Pre-College Portfolio Development
An Online Summer Art Program for High School Students
Students have an option for a concentrated summer program as a way to expand their art learning and improve dramatically their college application portfolios.
This summer program will either kick off a sophomore's portfolio development with a bang; help grow, consolidate, or diversify a junior's existing portfolio; or help seniors create that truly outstanding series of pieces that will crown their portfolios and help get them noticed by any art department or admissions board.
For rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
8 one-hour (or longer if needed!) one on one, online meetings over 6 weeks, scheduled at your convenience.
1900€
The Program:
8 individual Zoom sessions will be scheduled with you over the 6-week period.
The program includes:
Initial portfolio review of past work and discussion of the student’s goals and interests, strengths, weaknesses, and everything else that makes them who they are.
Personalised assignments and instruction for students to make work leading up to an ambitious final project.
Unlimited email follow-ups, feedback, and progress reports.
Students will be responsible for the purchase of all materials needed.
Our meetings with students are individual, because each student is different and we will be responding to their specific artistic personality and needs.
Your teachers and how we work:
We are professional artists and experienced educators dedicated to helping young artists grow and we work together with every student, often in tandem, so each student will receive feedback from all of us, making it that much more interesting, intense, challenging, and productive.
We put as much emphasis on developing our students’ critical thinking as in developing their work. As students progress, we will consistently assign work, critique it, contextualise it, help them connect it to the past and present artwork and ideas, help them define and understand what they are making so that they can both build on it and write about it intelligently.
